Applications of Shell-Isolated Nanoparticle-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

چکیده
The surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is mainly used as an analysis or detection tool of biological and chemical molecules. Since the last decade, alternative branch SERS effect has been explored, named shell-isolated nanoparticle spectroscopy (SHINERS) which was discovered in 2010. In SHINERS, plasmonic cores are for enhancing signal molecules, a very thin shell silica generally employed improving thermal stability that great interest specific case catalytic reactions under difficult conditions. Moreover, thanks to its surface sensitivity, SHINERS can enable investigation at liquid–solid interfaces. two years (2019–2020), recent insights this field were reported. Thus, mini-review centered on applications with CO other reactions, molecules ions.

Dielectric shell isolated and graphene shell isolated nanoparticle enhanced Raman spectroscopies and their applications.
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a powerful technique that provides fingerprint vibrational information with ultrahigh sensitivity. However, only a few metals (gold, silver and copper) yield a large SERS effect, and they must be rough at the nanoscale. Shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SHINERS) was developed to overcome the long-standing materials and morpholog...
متن کاملIn situ dynamic tracking of heterogeneous nanocatalytic processes by shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy
Surface molecular information acquired in situ from a catalytic process can greatly promote the rational design of highly efficient catalysts by revealing structure-activity relationships and reaction mechanisms. Raman spectroscopy can provide this rich structural information, but normal Raman is not sensitive enough to detect trace active species adsorbed on the surface of catalysts. Here we d...
متن کاملPursuing shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SHINERS) for concomitant detection of breast lesions and microcalcifications.
Although tissue staining followed by morphologic identification remains the gold standard for diagnosis of most cancers, such determinations relying solely on morphology are often hampered by inter- and intra-observer variability. Vibrational spectroscopic techniques, in contrast, offer objective markers for diagnoses and can afford disease detection prior to alterations in cellular and extrace...
متن کاملPreparation and characterization of an ultrathin carbon shell coating a silver core for shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy.
A well-designed type of ultrathin carbon shell coating a silver core was prepared for the first time through an alternate adsorption and carbonization method. The obtained ultrathin carbon shell shows prominent advantages, including sufficient uniformity, better chemical stability than silica or alumina, biocompatibility, being free of pin-holes and low cost.
متن کاملA Review of Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy on Potential Clinical Applications Towards Diagnosing Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading cancers in the world and early-screening is still the best method of cancer patient survival. However, colonoscopy as the current gold standard is not without flaws and an emerging technique called surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) coupled with machine learning is a possible candidate that could be applied in parallel with colonoscopy. This...
